Bathroom
What it looks like today. Plus a toilet seat, and grout around the sink tiles, minus green tape!
Basement
We started with a blank slate. Studs and insulation on the outer walls only. We decided on a room layout. A large storage room, a bedroom and a den for the kids to play video games in. In the picture to the left you can see the framed doorway for the storage room.
Below is the doorway to the bedroom and the steps we painted black leading up to the lower basement.
The wall on which the entertainment unit would sit. Framed in and the central vac re-routed.
The stairwell leading down into the basement. Drywall up. Directional potlight in. Two light switches to run both the stairwell light and the basement light in the den.
Duct work framed in. Dry wall going up. A whole lot of dust everywhere.
Minimal lighting actually wired in meant we had any additional lamps we owned plugged in. Which, unfortunately for Ryan, was that wee little IKEA one..and that's about it.
Bedroom painted. Drop tray ceiling installed. Moulding and carpet all put in.
Storage room door in. Cat door installed. Moulding all stained and put up. Pot lights installed. Drop tray ceiling up, preserving all the headroom we possibly could. Carpet installed.
